IFS

Overview

IFS is an equipment for data communication interface among local signalling equipment. The main module of IFS uses the DIS-100 which is improved reliability and maintainability by simplifying the conventional interface structure. It applies redundancy power supply and supports 2 LAN and 16 RS-232/422/485 ports. IFS transmits all of indications on train operation to control center or processes control command received from control center.

IFC

Overview

IFC is a communication interface equipment located in the local signalling equipment room, to transmit and receive information connected with Electronic Interlocking Equipment(EIE), ATP/ATO and LCC. Also, It transmits and receives information between the control center and local signalling equipment room by means of main communication network. IFC is composed of dual industrial PCs for improving reliability and continuity. If the on-line IFC has a serious trouble or communication failure, it is switched over to the stand-by IFC automatically or manually.

FEPOL

Overview

Front End Processor for Operating Level (FEPOL) is a part of Interlocking(IXL) in train control system of high speed railway. The system provides serials(RS-232C, RS-422) and ethernet interfaces with other systems such as SSI(Solid-state Interlocking), ATC(TVM430, TVMS), CTC(Centralized Traffic Control), LCP(Local Control Panel) etc. FEPOL provides functions to transmit control information, generate monitoring information and generate alarm message.

Local Control Console(LCC)

Overview

Local Control Console(LCC) is installed in local signalling equipment room or station offices to monitor and control operation of trains and the status of signalling system. In general, control center has authority to control signalling system in the whole line and this is called Center Mode. In this case, the Local Control Console only has function to monitor trains and local signalling system. If the authority of control is transferred to the Local Control Console from the control center, Local Control Console can control and monitor trains and signalling system. This is called Local Control Mode.

Application

Local Console for Urban Railway
SSC(System Supervision Console) : This is a console for maintainer in stations and it is managed by local signalling maintenance office. It has the function to monitor trains and status of signalling equipment without controlling signalling equipment within its control area using several console screens.
In general, a local signalling maintenance office manages several control stations with interlocking equipment if it is available. Also, one control station manages several passenger stations.

LCC(Local Control Console) : This is a console for local operator. It is installed in the local signalling equipment room or station office. It has function to control and monitor the operation status of train and signalling equipment within its control area.


MC(Maintenance Console) : This is a console for maintainer. It is installed in the local signalling equipment room or local signalling maintenance office. It has function to monitor the operation status of train and signalling equipment within its control area. Generally, It consists of dual monitors and provides software to playback. It has function to analyze stored data in real-time.

Local Console for Depot
Train Depot Console : This is a console which is installed in depot signalling maintenance office and rolling stock maintenance office. It is classified into two consoles. The first console is for maintainers to monitor trains and signalling equipment without control. The second console for local operators is to manage the entrance and exit of depot. Thus, trains and signalling equipment can be monitored and controlled. For convenience of monitoring and control, all layouts of depot are displayed on the large screen.

System Change Over Equipment(SCO)

Overview

System Change Over Equipment(SCO) is equipment which is used for switching over external communication lines from system1 to system2 or vice versa in the system being operated in redundancy system.
